DVXuser New Year's Resolutions

Kirk Gillock

Rebel with a cause
It's that time of year again. Time to make a list of the things you want to do to improve your life. In other words, a list of things you want to do, but most likely will not because of laziness, procrastination, addiction, or you lost the list.

Here's mine:

#1 - Build a time machine to change devastating world events from happening. First mission; Go back and stop myself from seeing "Stealth".

#2 - Eat more candy. It makes me happy.

#3 - Lose a few pounds. My gut makes me sad.

#4 - Rule the world and put all DVXuser names on a protected list. No harm will come to them, although they will need to kneel before me.

#5 - Start smoking. It just looks cool.

#6 - Stop smoking. It just looks gross.

#7 - Use the time machine to go back and destory the time machine. It must not fall into the wrong hands.

#8 - Exercise more often. Must keep active.

#9 - Relax more often. I'm too old. Being active might cause me to slip and fall.

#10 - Be a better friend. Be a better uncle. Be a better brother. Be a better son. Be a better DVXuser.

So what are your New Year's Resolutions?

Happy New Year everyone and thank you for making 2005 a very special year.

PK

I just got back from partying as they say...

After some deliberation about the experiences of the night - mine is:

* Cut down on messing around with Myspace girls by 50%

I resolve to get off my ass and into the great outdoors more often. Hopefully do some more backpacking, it does wonders to refresh my creative side. Oh yea, I also need to ride my bike more....

Good thread P.K.

1. Be a better Father

Not that I'm lacking but I am always concious of being a better father to my son

2. Be a better Husband

Same deal; I think I'm doing pretty good but always try and strive for more into our 8th year of marriage

3. Health and Fitness

Last year I quit smoking. I have really amped up the fitness part with plans to ramp it up even more into serious fitness levels

4. Make more films

What can I do? I'm more armchair than filmmaker I'm afraid and can only hope to do more in 2006

I always have the same New Year's Resolution--stay out of jail. On the plus side, it's pretty easy to keep. :) I expect to be truly put to the test during 2006 and if I can make it into 2007 with my head above water, I'll consider it a smashing success. Happy New Years to all of you and may the new year bring the best to you and your families.

HAPPY 2006!!!!!!!! (posted exactly at midnight)

1. get back in shape. exercise more and eat better

2. reach new levels of creativity and productivity

3. win an emmy

I want to have 1000 head hours by this time next year. I have 520 something now ... and not from blacking a Zillion tapes .... good stuff. Maybe I'll start with the girl I met at the party. Wish she'd hurry up in the bathroom, I gotta go ...

Happy 2006 everyone !!!!

Make more money to pay for the object of all our dreams (the HVX)

Make more movies.

(here's the lame one) Get back into shape. It's really gotta be a motivation factor too that I'd like to gain-I need to want to lose weight, and take the measures I need to complete that goal. That way, I'll have enough motivation and self-drive by the time I get my camera to make movies 24/7!

i am going to make a living from acting and buy my ranch in someplace away from the city ride my horses watch my children play in the woods and enjoy what life is really about and die on my wooded property,on a four posted platform made from tree branches on natures burial site with Jimi Hendrix playing Third Stone From the Sun

Why am I not supprized that PK started this thread? :)

Ok last year I totally ignored my health. This year I *will* get into shape. darnit!

oh yeah, and make movies and stuff.. :)
