Good effort...wasn't quite what I expected, but you have to give these things time to develop. My only suggestion would be to add more meat & cut the fluff (half the issue was advertising).

I'd love to see something about someone actually using a DVX camera too.

Nice job guys! Happy to see its arrival and it looks great. Thanks for all the hard work that must have gone into this.

I'd like to help out in some capacity with future issues if there's a need. Layout, writing, editing, proofreading, etc.

there's only one sponsor :) An ad on the inside cover, one on what would be the outside back cover, and only one ad within the actual content of the magazine.

Pretty fair I'd say, especially considering that just the time john puts in alone to create the magazine means he is operating at a loss. And, that's before factoring in delivery, contribution from other members, back end, etc. We definitely don't want to be ad heavy, so you won't see near as many ads in dvxuser monthly in the long run as most other FREE publications. We'll be cherry picking folks as interest grows and will try to maintain something like a 4:1 ratio.

anyways.... issue 2 coming in a day or two... I've just finished reading it... Very good.

Thanks Jason.

I think that you'll notice a dramatic improvement in this issue's content and layout. I'm eager to hear from all of you about it!

Haha this is awesome. I dig the articles. I especially love the placement of the JVC camera ads in the "dvxuser monthly" magazine. Nice touch!
