DVXuser.com exclusive hands on with the HVX200

Sorry AZA, just a prediction. I'm pretty sure to keep the DVX100 somewhat competitive, it will at least have 16*9.

I'm willing to bet $100.00 on it.

Yes it will use the same batteries, and many of the same accessories (like zoom controllers, etc). However, certain lens accessories won't fit (such as wide-angle or telephoto adapters) because the lens is physically bigger on the HVX.

Most everything that is known is posted in the article, or in Jan's posts. What info do you want to know? Lens diameter for filters is 82mm, focal length is 4.5 to 58.5... I think that's about all we know so far...

Nice article on a camera of which there is no working model, and hasn't finished being designed yet. At least my DVX100a can record a image.

All the best.

Wow, you're absolutely right. Your DVX100a is vastly superior because it can currently record an image. When will they learn that cameras that are not yet in production are inferior to those that have been on the street for several years. Fools.

All the best.

Or maybe one of These too!?!

But he's right. How dare we speculate about a camera that doesn't exist. We should all be downright ashamed. As a matter of fact.....I'm going to my room right now to think about what I've done. Then I'll write "I will not speculate about the HVX200" 1000 times.

okay i read up to page 18 and then skipped ahead to here, sorry if this is redundant.
1. did they fix the pixellation on pure red light sources (tail lights, stop lights)that that dvx100a has...

2. does it have timelapse like the dvx100a?

i can't wait to get my hands on this mammy-jammy, super crazy, mind blowing, dgionbnsoughbhsouhgbshgbo;sobsfpbjfghsg, camera!!!!

i see alot of people are worried about data throughput in NLE's and using online footage...has anyone rtied using footage that big with a dual G5 and FCP HD?

i have FCP HD and am getting a G5, just wondering if i should be expecting a little dissapointment...

Every DV camera has it. It's a problem of the codec/format.

So basically, if you manage to record in DVCPRO 50 or HD, you won't have the same kind of problem.

Cheers!
