$80 in the trash can? I don't think I can do that... plus the other one is fattening up also... over the course of a couple months though... so what? Pitch 'em both?

an exploding Li ion battery can kill you. You wont know until it vents and sprays a jet of 3000 degree liquid metal through your cheek out the back of your head when you are using the view finder.

I cannot overstate how dangerous a li ion battery vent can be;

A had a friend who was at a RC plane meet at an airfield and someone was charging a lipo battery on th e hood of their car. In the sunlight the battery overheated and exploded. When it burst it cut a whole right through the hood of the car and melted down into the engine block. It was a huge battery and the car didn't start after that.

Thanks for posting this. I noticed my Impact battery has developed a very very slight bump on the non contact side of the battery. I put that bad boy outside immediately. I'm gonna just buy a genuine Panny battery to replace it.

Safety isn't worth saving a few bucks.
