DVX's Film Speed Equivalency

I've become pretty reliant on using a light meter, and not using in camera metering. On a Spectra Pro 4 what would a ballpark estimate for film speed equivalency be on the DVX at 24p 1/60 with no gain?

Aaron,

Do a search, this has been discussed here many many times in the past. There are varying responses, I think because the equiv. ISO rating varies depending on gain (obviously), but also on the gamma curve used. Also, many cameras do not have a perfectly linear rating through the range of exposure. Finally, there may be some variance from camera to camera.

Since you have a light meter, the best thing to do is to rate your own camera using the settings you plan to use. Light a gray card, use the marker to adjust the iris so you get a 50% value on the camera. Note the F stop used. Then, take a reading of the card and adjust the ISO on your meter until the reading matches the noted F stop. That's the rating for your camera with your settings under those circumstances.
