It's the amazing, awesome DVXFEST Monthly Short Film Contest. This is your chance to show the DVXuser community your chops and get some recognition for those mad skills you've been working on.
Requirements
1) All films must be shot on a DVX100 camera
2) All films must be shot and completed during the month of the contest by a DVXuser member
3) Films no longer than 5 minutes long
4) Absolutely no copyright violations. You may not use unlicensed music.
5) Please host your own film if you can. We do have some web space for folks without the ability to host.
6) Please keep the compressed size of your film close to 20mb if possible.
7) By entering you grant permission for your film to be included on a possible 2005 Best of DVXFEST DVD.
Theme
The JANUARY theme is completely open--horror, comedy, music, experimental--anything goes.
Uploading/Downloading Details to be posted
All entries MUST be submitted by Midnight on the last day of the month. Please email me the title, your user name, the running length of your film with a link to the film by the contest deadline. DO NOT post a link to your entry in any of the forums.
Voting
Voting will take place from the 1st-7th of the month following the contest. READY. SET. GO. I will post all the links together on the 1st for voting. All films will voted on in a poll of DVXuser members that will be posted in the Cafe forum.
Prizes
The 1st place winner will receive a swell prize courtesy of the sponsor for that month's contest. Each monthly winner will be eligible to win the Best of 2005 DVXFEST competition and the fabulous Grand prize that comes with the title.
