DVXB has seperate Zoom and Focus inputs, possible with DVXA?

The DVXB has a nice feature of having two inputs for remote zoom and focus controls. the DVXA has only the camera remote jack for remotes. is it possible to rig something which would allow two remote inputs to be carried into one jack? Say a converter with two female mono ins to one stereo male out or something of the like?

No, because the electronics to support remote focus just aren't built into the 100A. It'd be like plugging your power cord into a bowl of pudding -- I mean, sure you could make it fit, but it wouldn't accomplish much...

Thanks Barry. I was hoping it was a difference of frequency per line or somethin that would allow for an "overlap" of signals to be used indepenently, once they hit the camera.

crap. One more reason to get the B then.

So, remotes that offer both zoom and focus will work with the zoom only? the focus feature on the remote is useless?

On an A, that would be true. On a B, remote zoom/focus/iris would all work.

The A and the B use the same zoom controller port, so the same zoom controller would work for both. But the A has no provision for remote focus, so you simply can't do it. If you want remote focus, you want/need the B.
