DVX200 zoom and focus/o.i.s sound in recording

Hello,

I had my DVX200 for a few days now and it strikes me that the external sounds the camera make's is so loud thats its picked up by the internal mic and the xlr mic i use (Sony ECM-XM1) I had/have a sony HXR-NX5E
It had no problem with sound.

Have any of you the same problem / experience ?

What sounds specifically? If it's the zoom, take it off servo when you hand crank it!

When I had this camera, I used it both with and without external microphones. With the on-camera mic, the zoom action was slightly audible, but much less so than in my previous camera, the HPX-170. I didn't find it loud enough to be troubling.

With external mics, I picked up absolutely no noticeable camera noise at all.

Yes, you can hear the zoom servo when it reaches a certain speed when using the internal mic. When I use a camera mounted shotgun instead....not an issue any more. My old Canon XH-A1 zooms 100% silent.
