I would like to buy the

- HVX200 Camera (without P2 cards) (it comes with batteries and charger?)
- FS100 Drive that holds about 1hr of full HD footage and goes directly into the the drive as u shoot
- Tripod and Tripod Release plate
- 10 Mini DV tapes for shooting regular DV

Is there anything else that I should be considering that i'm not? (besides the bags for the camera and tripod which they come with the package I want to order.)

Everything comes up to around $8,100

I have FCP5 -- 5.0.4 to be exact cuz I have an old G4 (emac) LOL but it still runs FCP5 but only up to 5.0.4 I can't upgrade it more than that to like 5.1

do u know if this matters? FCP 5 supposedly handles full HD not only HDV, but I don't have an HD monitor or anything like that for my computer :/

It doesn't matter, but upgrading to a Intel Mac and FCP 5.1 does make sense, particularly with FCP6 expected in a week.

you might think of a mount for the firestore, clipping it to your belt will soon become tiresome. Also think of getting the firware upgrade for the Firestore ($40) it allows you to record in quicktime. Much easier when you have to start giving footage to different people with different setups. Almost anyone can handle quicktime files.

If you're shooting handheld a lot you might think of getting some hanhedl rig. DVrig, Mulitirig, Spiderbrace. The camera gets heavy for long handheld situations.

By now I would expect the channel to not have any pre-V3.0 firmware versions of the FS-100 left in it. All drives made after February 1, 2007 have the V3.0 firmware.
