DVX200, GH4 & GH5 match Perfectly for Multi Cam Shoots

Going back to when I bought my DVX200, one of my concerns was, would it match our GH4 for Multi Cam shoots?

Coincidentally at about that time Panasonic announced this, http://pro-av.panasonic.net/en/products/ag-dvx200/custom_scene.html often referred to as “The Like GH4 Scene File” they also provided instructions on how to use it. http://pro-av.panasonic.net/en/products/ag-dvx200/pdf/dvx200_still_like_scene_guide.pdf

We decided to give it a try and were very pleased to discover that The DVX200 and GH4 could be matched perfectly.

Enter the GH5 and once again everything matches perfectly, check out my recent test. https://vimeo.com/244372863

They appear to match perfectly. Some side by side shots might of all three cameras would be conclusive. Also some shots of people to see any shift in skin tones. But that would only be useful to convince the skeptics. Nice test and yes the cameras match perfectly and can be used together. Good job

I have the DVX200 and bought the GH5S rencently. Is this scene file also to match the GH5S? At this moment I only have the 25mm F1.7 prime lens. Will buy the 12-60mm lumix soon.

I recently did a shoot using the DVX200 and the GH5s. Both were set to V-Log, and both were set to a manual white balance of 5400. There was significant difference in the blues (the location was full of blue containers). Skin tones were pretty consistent, but I had to do quite a bit of work to get them to match up enough not to give continuity flags. I can't access your Vimeo link to see your result - but am encouraged that you had more success.

I don't want to use v-log when shooting stage shows, theatre, ... Only small color corrections to match them. In the past with my sony camcorders I always had troubles with the RGB colors (blue, red and green) to match them. Don't understand what you mean with the vimeo page? At this moment I didn't did a shoot with both camera's. next month the stage shows start again so I have still some time to find a scene file for both.

in the color correction setting I set the yellow color to -20. Now it is a bit better but the red is still too much orange. I tried vlog on both cams but even here there is a color difference. But I want to avoid vlog for stage shooting. So somebody here had succes matching GH5S and DVX200 ?

Larry, I'm not good in fixing this in post. I use the color match tool in vegas moviestudio 16 and after that It's still there. Prefer to match them in camera

there were also other changed scene files to match the GH4 (like cine D) by Barry Green but this download is expired. Maybe with those I have more luck?

Or are these the changed scene files from the original 6 in the dvx200?

I can't help you any more since I just get the cams (no matter the make/model) close out-of-camera and do the rest in post (Premiere CC). Sorry.
