DVX200 Android App for Remote use

Hey Barry, Can you check with Panasonic and see if there is an update on when we will see the Android App for Remote use of the DVX200?

I have heard nothing of any plans to offer it in Android. Doesn't mean they won't, only that nobody's told me of any such plans.

Android actually has 86% market share.

But that's 86% worldwide.... and much of that market share is made up of $100 Android smartphones being sold in places like China and India.

Those people aren't buying $4,200 video cameras.

I agree that Panasonic should make an Android app... but not strictly because of that 86% number.

Market share isn't really a good reason to decide which platform to make an app for. If it was... iOS wouldn't really have any apps since it has never had a significant amount of market share.

It would be interesting as to how many DVX200 owners are android users. Not sure where or how that data could be found, but it would be interesting.
