Trying to figure out how to get the DVX 200 to remotely trigger the PiX-E5 into record mode. Have found the Panasonic trigger on the PIX and turned it on, and am getting timecode flashing on the PIX, and also picture.

Is the Pix supported to get a recording signal from the DVX200. Tech support at Video Devices was unable to help and would like to know! :0

Also how does one set up the monitor on the PiX to have the same color look as the DVX? At the moment it is completely different...more like it is set up for tungsten

Yes it definitely can be set up such that the DVX200's record button triggers the PIX (if you're recording internally). If you're set to 10-bit, then the record button cannot be used, but you can program AUTO REC onto a user button and use that instead; pressing that button on the DVX will trigger external recording on the PIX.

Turn on SDI REMOTE and HDMI TC OUTPUT. If you're recording to both internal and external, turn REMOTE REC LINK to ON; if you're only recording internally or only recording externally, leave that off. Page 108 of The DVX200 Book has all the relevant info.
