dvx11a playback...?

Hello. This is the first in what will be a steady line of semi-obvious questions (I recently bought a used dvx100a, sans manual). I assume that the camera has some type of stand alone playback feature, but I cant figure out how to initiate it. I tried switching it into vcr mode, then rewinding/fast-forwarding, but all it gave me was a blue screen while the minutes passed by. Like I said, this might be a stupid question, and it certainly wont be the last, but I would really apprecitae it if someone could give me a little push start. Thanks in advance!

With the camera in VCR mode, you should be able to play a tape by pushing up on the little "joystick" on the side (think it's marked with a single triangle).

yeah that worked; i could have sworn i did that the first time, though. maybe i was just a little overwhelmed diving into the camera with no guidance. anyways, thanks for the link and the speedy response!

Just for the wellbeing of your camera: You will want to use the playback and VCR options as little as possible, because it wears your camera's recording heads. I would suggest buying a cheap consumer camera to playback and capture your footage, or, if you can afford it, a tape deck.
