:( I have a DVX100BE (Pal version) which I have had just 2 weeks and I am having trouble recording voice at a volume level which is acceptable either on the internal mic or the XLR mic (Panasonic AG-MC100). I have turned up the audio on the Channel 1 & 2 knobs, turned the mic ALC on & off on the setup menu. Have checked all the defaults on the recording setup menu -50db on both channels etc!!
I can record traffic and generally high frequency noise OK but when the human voice is recorded you have to be within 4 to 6 feet away for a decent reception with either mic. All selections set mic power on etc.
I have a Sennhieser MKE300 but I can't use it with the XLR connection. I tried the MKE300 on my old SONY cam and the same sound scources come out fine. Can any one help or comment on their experience with the Panasonic mic, all replies will be much appreciated, thanks. I have just found this comment at http://www.camcorderinfo.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=115691 Hope this camera is not the same, is it the best kept secret of the DVX100 / 102 camera??:crybaby:
