Hi guys need some advice as to wether the following issue is a menu setting problem or a bigger problem that requires a service centre.
Recently got hold of a used PAL dvx102b. fired her up and then started palying around. after a while i realised that the focus ring wasnt working properly - saw that the Auto funtion was showing on the display and viewfinder. tried to turn it off but had no effect. i could get a picture zoom in and out record but the auto function simply did not go off the screen even if i pressed the button or not. switched the camera on and off but then the iris did not work and is closed and non responsive to turning the dial with a low light warning in the viewfinder.
Now i cannot access most of the menu functions that pertain to camera settings, picture settings etc but i can cycle thru the menu system and visit each specific setting but cannot change it. Its frustrating because the nearest panasonic service centre is 3000 miles away.
I tried to reset the camera thinking that it might help but to no avail. anybody had similiar experiences?
