So I've been searchin some stuff on DVX100's and I hear that DVX100p's have some problems that the other DVX models don't. Can anyone confirm/disprove this?

Hey,

As far as I know there is no DVX100p. There is dvx100, dvx100a and dvx100b. There are no serious know issues with any of them. However, some parts are not available for the older dvx100 model.

The DVX100p is the DVX100 model which was sold in North America. Even today, it's the DVX100Bp in North America.

But no, they had no problems that any other DVX model didn't have.

although if you have a major problem with your dvx100p there is a less likelihood of it getting fixed b/c it is my understanding that panasonic has stopped making parts for that model....

yeah, but they also stopped making my VX1000 back in 1995, but you can still get it fixed, I think I'll be alright.

Thanks guys

Yeah.....

You can get very old Sonys fixed but new Panny's you may be SOL. You can search my many previous posts on this subject. Good luck, I didn't and haven't had any until I switched brands.
