Whats the difference between the dvx100e and the AE model.

I'm going to buy the E at a very cheap price from a friend but want to know if there were any probs from this model camera compared to the AE.
 
Somebody correct me if I am wrong but I believe that the E in both models that you are referring to stands for Europe. If you want a PAL camera than that's what you will be getting in all its 25p frame rate glory.

However, the "AE" model verses just the E model would be the same differences as the DVX100 and DVX100A, meaning no squeeze mode, and an inferior zoom ring, among other things. Please GOD correct me if I am wrong but I think those are the differences.
 
rlm7189 is correct in the distinction -- the 100E is the european model of the original dvx100, and the 100AE is the european model of the DVX100A.
