Is there a such thing as the DVX100BPS?
Full Compass says it's the "replacement" for the DVX100B?

It think it's the actual model number for the DVX 100B. It's called the DVX100BPs

Then why do some stores have it listed as "DVX100BMBK"?

The link for the BPS isn't valid anymore

I could be wrong, but the MBK stands for the "Magic Bullet Kit" which implies that the box contains the DVX Book/DVD and Magic Bullet software. The S after the current models, stands for "Sheet" which is that the rebate form is included.

I'm sure Jan could help solve this. Has she been checking in from NAB?

FWIW, I purchased an AG-DVX100B from B&H on 04/10/2006. There was no book or Magic Bullet software in the box, but there were separate forms for the rebate and another one for the book and software. I promptly filled out the forms and sent them in to the addresses indicated on the form. I was required to cut the bar code label off the box which included the Model #(AG-DVX100BPS) and S/N and attach to the forms.

As yet I have received no confirmation of receipt of the forms. Incidentally, there was no mention of a B&H discount, but they were offering a free camera case which is pretty good and I will use it.
