DVX100B with Reel-Streem Andromeda.

I'm selling the camera with its original accessories. I took great care of it and it is in mint condition. It has 32 hours on the heads.

This modded DVX gives awesome images in any situation but I think it is best suited for music videos, short films, low budget commercials or any other kind of shooting conditions that allows setting up a laptop and some drives. All images have to be rendered through their software (there are different quality settings to speed up the generation of dailies). The benefits of the system over DV and HDV: Greater dynamic range, 4:4:4 sampling, HD rendering (through a process similar to DeBayering) and more natural looking colors. Just have a look at their website:

if he is going straigh to a drive, it probably doesnt put time on the heads so the hours stay low. just a guess. i think its funny how much people fuss over hours on the head. my DVX has like 450+ hours and is going strong.

I used it mostly connected to the computer. I bought it for a film and now that it is done it's sitting here waiting. I bought the whole system at once instead of modding a used DVX100b. That is why it has such low hours on the heads.

Thanks William, no doubt it's a great deal!

No it is an NTSC model. I may be wrong but I think they never actually did a PAL modification. They talked about it a lot though.

I found out that 24p is a great compromise between Film, NTSC and PAL. For PAL versions, I conform 24 to 25 (speed up) with Apple Cinema Tools and the effect is unnoticeable. Since you render to HD, frame size is not a problem.
