I just picked up a used Letus FE from a fellow user on the forum and am not totally confident on how to setup the settings on my DVX100B to be used properly with my Letus FE.
1. What I've done after mounting it on the DVX and rails, is I turn on the adapter, then turn on the camera. Zoom in all the way, set it to auto iris, auto focus, and off I go. Is this the best way to do things? I'm not sure about the auto focusing. I ended up on auto focus because I couldn't really find a spot to get a clear image so I just set it to auto focus. I'm wondering if there is a more proper way of doing it like locking the focus somehow?
2. I'm also having a problem with my mounted panasonic shotgun mic picking up the low humming of the adapter, is this normal?
3. I've been ready Barry's book and am at the part about strobing and panning times. It says on a z99 it takes 120 seconds to pan 90 degrees. When using the Letus you have to be zoomed in all the way, does the the 120 second guideline still apply?
Thanks guys!
Adrian
