DVX100B vs DVX100A

I started a couple projects with a DVX100A (PAL)...Camera just smashed (don't ask)...Not sure if I should replace with the 100A or 100B...Will footage from the DVX100B match to the DVX100A stuff I shot already? Is it worth the upgrade? One project was shot on 25P Squeeze mode. Another on 25P 4:3...Thoughts?

Shouldn't make any difference, afa matching the 100b to the 100a, the hardward hasn't changed particularily.

As far as upgrading, it depends on your bank account. But it's not a "major" update.

As Pookie says, it depends on your bank account. If you can afford it, the B is well worth the upgrade, provided you don't need time-lapse mode. The B has dozens of nice little refinements and improvements throughout.

yeah, the images are pretty close. I actually have footage of the two somewhere shot side by side that never made it online.

of course you know what im going to ask for, right?

yeah Its on a tape burried somewhere.. i will try and look around for it tommorow if i have a chance. The only real difference was in low light, it was noticably cleaner in the noise department.

Jarred - any chance on seeing these 2 clips - would love to see how them match up before i make the jump to the dvx100B...thanks.
