DVX100B UK Streetprice?

Hey,

Does any of you UK users know the actual streetprice for the DVX100B?

See - the thing is that I ordered my DVX two weeks ago and today I found out that it's completely out of stock here in Denmark. They're presumably getting a small quantity in the beginning of february, but I seriously doubt that I'm gonna be of the lucky ones to get one. They'll be getting another shipment in late february or beginning of march, but I'm still not sure when I'll get my camera. Problem is that I've got some stuff I need to shoot in february - so now I'm thinking about going abroad to find one...

Update: I called Panasonic earlier today and they didn't have a clue about the when the HVX will come to Denmark either... baaah! :huh: )

I think you mean www.proav.co.uk right? Do you - or does anyone else have personal experience with these guys...

I'm not really fond of the idea of buying such expensive stuff over the internet, so I might go there and pick it up (and visit a friend in London while I'm there).

i bought mine dvx100b at proav.co.uk, but i paid cash and picked it up by myself at their hq... 100% satisfied so far, owner seems to be nice guy.. i bought also redeye .5x and paglight c6 external light with bat pack.
 
Interesting that Panasonic UK is offering a 2 year warranty for about $2900 exc VAT. Panasonic USA only offering 1 year and best price of around $3200 after rebate. Never quite understood rebates. Why don't they just sell them cheaper?

Cool. I emailed them and got an answer from the sales rep, Nick, pretty quickly... Nice guy, btw. It seems like they have the DVX on stock there, so I might be going over there pretty soon and grab myself a "Bee" ;-)

Update! I've decided to travel to the UK in the beginning of februaru to buy myself a "Bee" model :-)
 
i forgot to mention also www. hpreston.co.uk has also b in stock price is about £1,999 but i think you only get a 1 year warranty but could be wrong sorry for me spelling mistake and i did mean www.proav.co.uk seems preston have a good reputation as a pro. dealer
 
I'm in the process of buying a 'B', Preston originally said a 1 yr warrenty, but corrected themselves when I queried it. It is actually a 2 yr. I would guess a Panasonic grarentee is a standard thing with a camera right? Across the board?
