DVX100b & shooting a "welding" scene

I am filming a car show ate a restoration shop...They do alot of "welding" i have a good UV filter...is there any dangers for the dvx in shooting this type of footage....if so any recommendations on how to film this safely??

Should be fine, just don't keep the camera aimed at the bright source for a while. Its basically the same as the sun, you should be able to shoot a little bit, but it will have an effect over an extended period of time.
