Hello, I just needed some last minute help. I’m shooting a wedding tomorrow with another guy. Here’s the problem, I’m using the DVX100B and he’s using a PD170.

I need to get the most similar picture between the two cameras. If anyone has any suggestions as to scene settings on the DVX that would best match that of a pd170 please let me know. I have both cameras and trying desperately to get the closest look between the two but have little time.

Thanks in advance.

A year or so ago I did a sermon in a Calif church and the second camera was a sony V2100, I believe that is similar to the 170, just the consumer version.

We white balanced the two cameras to the same card and one was hard pressed to tell the dif between the two. We had a lot of light and both cameras were sitting in the back of the church on opposite sides.

The resulting video was good, the only way you knew it was a different camera was from the angle.

Might help. Worked for us, then.

Good Luck

Thanks for the input, it all went preatty smooth in the end, the only time their was a slight problem was in the reception hall when the lighting conditions were getting poor, i had to use the gain at about 2 and also had a light mounted on the camera going into a battery belt i wore.

Thanks for the feedback.
