I've already posted this in the FCP section and nobody seemed to have an answer so, here it goes:
I received the following error message while trying to capture: "Capture encountered a problem reading the data on your source tape. This could be due to a problem with the tape..."
After trying several tapes (one which I successfully captured from of only 3 weeks ago) I gave up and tried iMovie. I've never used the program before but, was able to capture the footage this evening and I imported it into FCP for the edit. This project is not reliant on perfect looking footage so I'm fine with it as captured in iMovie. But, the footage I filmed today (and will need to capture tomorrow) does needs to look very good.
2. Is there any way to re-teach FCP to capture from my DVX100b? I'd much prefer capturing from it.
