Hi! I am new to this with semi-pro cameras and HD isn't the deal for me right now because the only Cam I used earlier to do amateur-movies and it is a big step with higher quality + the price. I was wonder if the DVX100BE would be a choice for a new user at this pricegrade. I will use it for Musicvideos, movies(amateur...), sport and some commercials.

The DVX100 cameras are the best thing under $20,000 IMO. The HVX is too much of a hassle for me (workflow, storage, price...), and jumping right into HD might be a huge problem. Don't get me wrong, the HVX is incredible... but my choice is and has been the DVX.

Dish out the cash, my friend. You will not be disappointed.
