Well I was filming today a bit and I just got done, so i turned my camera into VCR mode and tried to play back the stuff I just shot. I moved the joystick towards rewind and it started to go backwards, but then I went to try to press play but it wouldn't work and just kept rewinding. I couldn't stop it at all. After messing around it became apparent that the joystick was messed up internally. Sometimes it'll let me rewind, other times it won't. The menu button right near there is also messed up. Sometimes it'll let me access the menu in camera and vcr mode, other times it won't. Also, sometimes the camera just does stuff on its own without me touching it (rewinding, going into the menu and scrolling up and down). So basically, I think I might have gotten some sweat or something into that area of the camera and it's causing it to screw up. I tried letting it sit for a little while turned off and no luck. I gotta shoot some stuff this weekend, but after that I am gonna send it out since I still have a warranty, but just out of curiosity, has anyone had this problem before? Easy fix when sent out? Is there any DIY work that can be done to fix it? Any suggestions will help.
