DVX100b- Loses focus when zooming

I zoom in to set focus, when I zoom out it goes out of focus. Not a ton but the shot definitely goes soft. I then put it in autofocus and slowly zoomed out. I can see the auto focus adjusting. Focus starts at 93, when I zoom out about 20% the focus adjusts to 88 and so on. Almost like the back focus is out. Anyway to fix this? Does it need to go in for repairs? If so, is this a pricey one?

Any help would be appreciated.
 
The one time this happened to me a shut down and restart fixed it. Other then that it sounds like you make have to take it to be serviced and have the back focus reset.
 
I had to add that it happened to me when I was using a monopod and released the leg without assisting it down. The resulting "thud" when the reached the bottom knocked my lens, making it go out. The back focus was still there technically but the focus was reversed. Meaning in Macro I could see far and focused out I could see Macro. I was in the middle of a gig and very happy when a restart fixed it. I have never since let the leg fall unassisted on any camera.
