dvx100b lcd screen....

Two things I noticed with this used 100b video cam that I bought:

1. When i have the lcd screen face the object even with mirror mode in the menu, everything on the lcd is backwards or upside down.

2. If i twist the lcd screen inside out where the lcd screen is on the outside and i close the lcd screen that way with it facing out, it shuts off. My old dvc3 it had the lcd stay on with it closed and the lcd screen out.


Are these issues that are part of the design? Are there anything I can do to fix this stuff? Everything else on the cam works fine, got it for $1900 used locally.

1. Don't have my camera here now, so I can't check it.

2. I have the DVX100A, but I think it's the same. My LCD doesn't shut off when doing this, and I don't think it's supposed to do it either.

You mean not suppose to to shut off when closed with lcd facing out?

Yes, that is what I am saying. It could be something wrong with the wires, but I don't know for sure.

When you Flip you lcd then close it so the the screen is on the out side, I should be on still and not turn off, If so, you have a defective camera.
