I just noticed that my dvx has something going on on the inside of the outer lens element. The outside of the lens is pristine, but it looks like a chunk of the coating fell off in one part, and there are a bunch of dots scattered around. I would assume it's fungus (and cry a little), but it doesn't look hazy/webby like other fungal lenses I've seen.
Camera has low hours, never done any particularly damp shoots. I do live in Seattle, though, so the Pacific Northwestern-ness may factor in.
The only footage that shows it is pointing directly at a light source, the dots flare up then.
I guess I'm curious if there are any other internal lens coating issues aside from fungus that it could be. I'm calling the closest service center tomorrow, but I was curious what dvxuser had to say about it.
