DVX100B for less than 3000?

"B" that is. I did a lot of research before hand to make sure I didn't get ripped off. All the complaints seemed to be about customer service but I didn't have any problems

I bought my DVX for 2,700 U.S. at www.dbuys.com
Hola!
Newly registered, but I've been lurking for awhile... reading everything I can.
I'm about to dive in and buy a DVX100b so an "under $3000" thread caught my eye.
Right now the aforementioned dbuys.com is selling for about $2800 with free shipping... but then there's etronics ...they've a price of just under $2700... plus they offer a four year warranty for about $130.
Anyone have any experience with etronics? Are they an authorized dealer?

I'm so glad I found this forum... thanks, guys!

All of the stores you mention here will be selling you a gray market camera. You will have no warranty, not free DVX-Boook, no Magic Bullet, not Instant HD and no rebate. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

Best,

Jan

When I emailed NewEgg they said that I might get a grey market or I might get a USA.

They said I could send it back, but if I end up going the DVX route I'll go with EVS, B&H, etc. Why take a chance for a couple of hundred bucks!

So true! I almost paid $2700, then found out all I would be getting was a camera. Not even a battery came with it! Whenever I see the stories of rip offs and con jobs some of these places pull, I'm glad I paid the additional $200-300 for the peace of mind...not to mention warranty, DVX Book, HD & Magic Bullet Software.

If you do go the DVX route, I'm sure you'll be pleased. I am SO sold on this camera!

Bill
