DVX100B dof adapter new wideangle lens can focus why?

Running a dvx100b with a cheap-o dof adapter...my Nikon 50mm works fine, and other lenses work fine, I just can seem to get this *Vivitar 19mm-35mm to focus and create a sharp image!

Could it be the length of my dof adapter or did I buy a F'd up lens?

what are you trying to focus ?
bring the subject up close and do the same thing....you should be fine
