DVX100B Digital Squeeze?

If I shoot some footage with the dvx100b in digital squeeze mode, does it stretch the image out? If it stretches the image then would I be able to export it in Adobe and it would look like widescreen, but actually it wouldn't be widescreen? Would the picture be a little distorted, or would it actually look like widescreen?

It'll be squeezed on a regular TV, just like any and all 16:9 footage would be.

If you play it from a DVD player, the DVD player has aspect-ratio-correction capabilities which would unsqueeze it.

And no, that anamorphic lens wouldn't work, it's too small (58mm). Panasonic makes one that works with the DVX.

So wait, if I had a 58mm front end of a Nikon lens I have added to a 35mm adaptor, could I use the century optics 16:9 infront of it to get the widescreen 16:9 adaptor attached to a 35mm lens... Transfer to film and project in theatre?

Please let me know...

Thanks

I realize this doesn't exactly answer your question, but squeeze on the dvx100b is one of the most useless features. You lose more resolution shooting squeeze than you would letterboxing in post.
