DVX100b? Any NAB info?

I saw it and touched it. $10,000 with two 8 GB Mem cards. Will only record HD to mem cards. According to rep its quality will be the same as the VaryCam. 24 P and 24 P adv. on HD. In addition you would need the P2p reader. Start saving!

well, nobody knows what they are doing with the ccd chip size. However, according to their rep at NAB and the presentation they did we will be able to use the new Panasonic with existing varicams in dual shoot scenarios.

Lol again......Lens quality is the big difference between the vari and hvx...not to mention the 2/3 inch vari ccds vs. the 1/3 inch hvx's. Even in 1080 24p the hvx can't compete with a varicam. HVX WILL NOT GIVE YOU THE QUALITY OF A VARI, not even with a mini35. That would be the single largest mistake that any company has ever made in its marketing scheme. Why would anyone ever spend $55,000 on a vari when they could get it with a $6,000 hvx...cmon think about it guys
