DVX100B and Rode NTG1/NTG2 Mic Questions???

I'm about to purchase an on-camera mic for my dvx100b. Do the Rode NTG's fit in the Panasonic mic holder that comes with the DVX? Or would it be best to get the Rode On-Cam Shock Mount?
 
G'day,
I have a Rode NTG-2 with my DVX. It does fit the DVX's mic mount but its not perfect, it wobbles around a bit, but it is a nicer fit than on the Sony cams. I find most of the time I will use my Rode mic mounted on top in the shoe mount with a mic shoe mount holder (this is way cheaper than the shock mount holder).
