same old thing ...need help and knowledge with capture, post production and output using dvx100b with 24p advanced ( F6 setting ).
I bought this camera mainly because of it's ability to capture at 24 fps.
I want to use 24p advanced instead of 24 p normal ...so I always keep the setting at F6.
I want to have the ability to output to film if I ever have too. However, most likely I will be burning DVDs and viewing them on my tv ...and sending them to film festivals.
So I want to know the best workflow .
I don't want to see all the flicker that comes with viewing on NTSC systems when shot on 24 p advanced.
1. should I use thin or thick for vertical detail setting ?
2. I'm using Final Cut Pro 6 and importing from the camera using the 24 p advanced pull down removal so I can edit on 24 p timeline.
3. When I create a dvd what is the best way to do that ?
4. When I create a 24 p dvd and view it on a tv will all the flicker still be seen just like playing it back straight from the camera ?
