DVX100AE (PAL version)
The camcorder has been my favourite choice for a while now. I have been truely amazed about the quality and look of frames and video posted on this site furthermore I liked what I thought was the choice of different shooting modes (24P, 25P, 30P, 50i), but now I read somewhere that DVX100AE 'only' got 25P an 50i shooting modes.

Think a lot of PAL's around europe would find it very useful with some information/tutorial about PAL and DVX100AE. Experts...anyone?

My questions:
24P footage must/can be converted to 50i for PAL?
Any other camcorders that shoot 24P in PAL version?
How big is the visual difference between 24P and 25P?

Hi!, I only can response to one question, the vissual difference between 24p and 25p is... NONE.
Visually nobody on earth could said it.

the DVX records the 25p as 50 fields. but it looks just like 24p.
the talk about 24p is, because in NTSC regions there is a bigger difference between what they are used to on TV (60i) vs what they get in 24p.
for us the framerate stays, but still the 25p image looks better. and we have the huge advantage of not needing any pulldown to edit and watch. ;D
