DVX100A waterdamaged microphone

We were filming some wakeskating and my buddy crashed right in front of me and the microphone got water on/it it and it seems to not work anymore. It can pick up high pitched sounds such as a loud clap but thats about it. I tried using another mic with the XLR inputs but I get nothing?

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE OFFER ANY ADVICE?!

What do you guys think it will cost to get this fixed? or is it fixable?

Im thinking it is a short in the whole "microphone circuit"? but I'm not certain?

any advice would be greatly appreciated, also any places you guys recommend me taking/sending the camera to that would cost me an arm/leg.

Try keeping it turned off for a while and place it somewhere warm (like the airing cupboard) for a day or so to try and dry it out and see if it'll work.

yeah i did that when it happened, but that was a couple months ago. Now I am either stuck with the idea of paying to fix it, or just buying another one.

any1 have any idea of how much it costs for such a fix?

Hmm, if i were you i'd consider buying another and keep that as a 2nd camera, providing the video recording works fine.
