Going through a mid-life crisis and getting into independant filmmaking. I've heard nothing but great things of this camera and would like to source out a good used one.

Willing to pay a reasonable price, preferred in Canada.

Also, anyone know how well the "steady stick" by Davis and Sanford works?

The steady stick works fine, for what it's designed for. It is not designed as a camera stabilizer (like a glidecam or steadicam); it is a completely different product and totally unrelated to those. The steady stick is designed to get the camera weight off your back and arms. It instead puts the weight directly on your hips. Can really save your back on an all-day shoot.
