dvx100a underscan?

um well i seem to confuse underscanning with overscanning a lot, but what i need to know is, since im using a 35mm adapter, and you have to zoom in till the frame properly fills up waht the camera sees (no more black vignette), i need to know if I have in fact zoomed in far enough. Does the Dvx100a lcd/evf show the entire recorded image, and therefore my zoom is safe or does it leave out the edges and therefore i should zoom in a little more to compensate?

edit - I'm wrong - this applies to the 100B though :) That is the entire recorded image - you should be able to display video safe markers at 90% of the recorded image.

On the DVX100A you're not seeing the underscanned image. That feature was added with the DVX100B. You'll want to zoom in a touch to compensate.
