DVX100a Slaving to HD tapeless

Hello fellow sufferers - If I can slave my DVX100a to a MiniDV camera and capture, can I do the same for tapeless, and here's the kicker, will the footage be HD? What are the implication for capture to my NLE (AVID MC 3.05)?

Oh. How do you plan on editing it? Or saving it? No cheap way to HD that I am aware of.

SD and HD use entirely different protocols and are not compatible. An HD camcorder will not work as a slave to a DVX.

You cannot capture from the DVX in a HD project.

You may try the uprez filter in your BCC filters. Look at this tutorial. http://www.limpans.com/downloads/AVID/UPREZTUT/Default.html

The same applies for HD.

It will not make your footage be HD, but it will help make it look better. It is useful when mixing SD and HD footage on the same timeline. But it's long to render.

I use Avid MC 3.05 that accepts tapeless.

You must mean the Andromeda DVX. That died long ago I believe.

Me too I use Media Composer. But tapeless HD media must be normally shot in HD.

Or you can import HD files that has been uprezed from SD footage.
