DVX100A repaired?

I just got my 100A back from having a ribbon cable contact reenforcement done due to a PSD NG warning and a grinding sound coming from the lens assembly. This seems to be a flaw in the 100a's as the B's have a gold ribbon cable versus a silver. Anyone?

Was it the ribbon cable going either to or from the PC Component board? I have a DVX that has been unable to be fixed since June because of a stupid cable that cannot be put back on the PC Component Board and Panasonic discontinued the part. I have run into a lot of discontinued parts for the DVX. I think the major flaw is with the Panasonic Parts Dept myself...

Where did you get your camera fixed?

I don't know if it's going to the PC component board but I had it fixed at The Video Clinic in Santa Monica, CA.

I don't know where it comes from or goes to but I know I have been told I can't get it fixed. Again, thanks Panasonic for putting out a great product that is virtually worthless.
