DVX100A or PD170

Re: DVX100A or PD170

This is called what I call a dvx shower! Never the less "permartinengman
" I am greatefull that I own a Panasonic everytime I look at my footage and shudder at thinking that I was going to buy the PD.

DVX literarly takes the "Home" out of Video!

Re: DVX100A or PD170

& another thing about the Camera is . . .

. . . you get to be a living part of this Forum man! It is way out! A real community of film makers. The DVX puts you in a mindset that is so different to all others. DVXuser is the proof of this.

Re: DVX100A or PD170

Right on, brother T!

Speaking of... how is your baby, 'Humpty', functioning since its great fall?

Re: DVX100A or PD170

Hi T2,

she is doing great . . . which also proves the baby to be quite tough too! I am going to invest in a hard case though that will take all my equipment.

I just added a Nikon D70 to the shoot kit (I love stills) and the lot is becoming too much for soft cases. I once made the same mistake with a guitar . . . no hard case eventually means something bad! Thanks for asking!

SO what would the dvx be . . . male of female? we should poll this one!

AndrewD

I have been looking into DVFilm maker, it sems very good, but it doesn't look like you can convert from PAL to 24p only, NTSC.

Do you know any simular program for PAL, that convert 50i --> 25p.

(there have to be)

Re: DVX100A or PD170

Well, heck -- any good NLE which works in PAL should be able to do that. But remember; you'll lose half your resolution.
