DVX or FX1 depends on whether you want a standard-def filmlook professional-audio camera, or a high-def video-look consumer-audio camera. Very different purposes.

Also, the European broadcast specification for HD has not been settled yet -- there's a good chance the Europeans may vote for supporting 720p and *not* supporting 1080i (which is what the FX1E shoots). So unless you have an overwhelming need to buy a European FX1E right now, I'd think you'd be wise to wait until the dust settles (regarding the EBU's specification of a European HDTV standard).

The DVX gives more possibilities at your shoots, more kinds of looks, and DVX is a progresive camera, it look wonderfull.
