DVX100A more grain then DVX100?

Does anyone notice more grain on the DVX100A then the DVX100? I compared footage and have noticed it. I matched the settings, turned the gain off (0db?) Anyone know of this or know how to fix it?

the "new" Cinelike D gamma setting on the DVX100A has a lot of processing noise. I dont use this gamma setting because of that extra noise and artificial look.

That said, i did not noticed any more noise with other gamma settings though...they work OK.

Also, Remember that the DVX100 is strickly auto-gain in 24p mode, while the DVX100a allows you to use the manual switch. That may be it too...
