DVX100A For Swap With DVX100

Mike Krumlauf

Award Winning Filmmaker
Anyone interested in swapping a 7 month old DVX100A for a DVX100 Reply ASAP.

The DVX100 must have no more then 130 hours on the heads and must be in mint working condition(no shorted out plugs,no broken viewfinders or scene file dials, etc)

This would also make things easier if you lived in the Chicagoland area.

Thanks,

I'd be interested... but I think I'd have to give you some money also because my DVX... while well taken care of... has also been used quite a bit... 253 hrs (just checked).

Why would you want to swap 'em anyway?

The only thing I can think of that I like about the original over the A is the original's headphone amp... no sound delay... better clarity and monitoring (even though the end result is just as good with either).

As to point out the benefits of the A... it's improved scene file control and added parameters, plus a slower slow zoom on servo.

Why would you want to lose all that? You can get equal picture and sound via the cam settings anyway?

I owned a DVX100 before i had a 100A and personaly, i like the 100 better because i have found it to be less grainy in the picture, and i think the extra GAMMA curves added are pointless and i never use them.

If you wanted to swap, how would we go about doing this?(Never Swaped Before)
Give me the low down!

Hey,

A Filmmaker from Aurora,Illinois just e-mailed me and i am preforming the swap with him.

SOLD or SWAPED! lol

Thanks For All Of You Who Were Interested,

Well if nothing else you've made me really happy with my original DVX... just this past week I met some people about doing a short video on teen suicide prevention... the director is from AFI... he was concerned that the cam might not be good enough so he asked me to bring some footage on DVD... it only took 2 seconds to convince him. They even wanted to use this 1 minute DVD to leverage for more pay... so I was flattered... and frankly, yeah... it DOES look good.

If you want to see some of my most recent footage then CLICK HERE I've done a few things since then but it's not cut yet.

Well,

I went out to Aurora today to swap cameras with him, and i saw that his DVX was missing the LCD screen and that about drove me up the roof. So it looks like i am going to stick with my DVX100A because i cant find anyone around here with a 100 to swap :furious3:

I have a dvx-100 in minneapolis. It has 370 hrs on the heads (original owner). Let me know if you are interested. Some footage at www.mediaserveintl.org

I leave in 8 days for Europe and Africa, so let me know.

Matt-

That is a REALLY tight clip. The imagery, the audio, the shooting style, and the cutting were all excellent. I mean, really top notch. I really really dig the editing tempo/pace of that clip. Excellent.

Hi, I have a dvx100 with ~75hrs in perfect condition. I live in Boise, ID, so i'm not sure how you want to go about "swapping," but if you're seriously looking to trade your 100a for a 100, i'd seriously go ahead and do it. How many hours do you have on your rig?

Hey Gov,

I have i think around 150 hrs. When i get home, i will re-edit this post and let ya know! I have no idea how we would go about swapping as well! I was looking for someone in driving distance to me so i did not have to pay shipping. :) PM me man, we will figure something out!
