Hey DVXusers,

Me and a Mate have just finished shooting a independant feature (shot on DVX100a) and would love to have some feedback.

Check out our 2 teaser trailers at www.unkreative.com.

It was shot entirely over weekends in Auckland, New Zealand and took us about 5 months to finish filming. It was a challenge but well worth it and we have just started post production.

Thanks for having a look

It looks great, and as a trailer...I really liked the second one much better, especially the end where the woman looks as if she is going to say something, but doesnt. :)

Good job!

wow that first rain shot looks cool. fast shutter speed? what settings?

Congrats on a great jog....look forward to seeing the final product.
The cinematography was excellent!

1) were you using any filters? if so, which

2) what steady cam device were you using? make and model? did you like it.....I think such a device will be my next purchase since this new DVX of mine really doesn't take to being handheld like my little old Sony 1 chip. Thanks!!!

Thanks for having a look.

The first shot that you see in the second trailer is on 1/1000th shutter speed. It was quite a funny location because whatever weather we wanted we got!! It was a sunny day with hardly any clouds and we wanted rain. Suddenly this storm comes over the hills from nowhere and buckets down. Plus the light was still bright so it was perfect for the shot we wanted.

unfortunately we did'nt have a budget and could'nt afford to get filters. Would have been great.

The steadycam is a glidecam pro 2000 i think. Will find out exactly what model. It was good but i wanted to shoot everything on a long lens so ended up using it just for some weight. It helped a lot but im not sure if i would buy one. Although it worked very well on tracking shots.

That looks really good! Fine job.

Just a general question. How do you put the trailer up for us to see?

Is it rendered as a quicktime?

Keep up the good work.

I preferred trailer 2 as well. Trailer 1 had a few too many gun points at the camera for me.

So is this like a Jason Bourne type of movie?

Kept my interest, LOVE the falling rain shot!
