DVX100A Emergency! Need to rent ASAP in or near North Wales, Pennsylvania

Hi all:

I have a colleague who is on a shoot in North Wales, Pennsylvania tonight with my DVX100A. The camera has been bulletproof ever since I bought it new in 2004, never even a hiccup. He flew there today and arrived and of course, he turns on the camera and is getting the dreaded "PSD NG", which research shows me is some kind of problem with the OIS system. Of course, I tested the camera before he left on the shoot, it worked fine.

If you live in Philly or anywhere near North Wales, Pennsylvania and would like to make some decent rental money this week, we need to rent your DVX100A or 100B for four days this week and we need to get the camera to him asap, hopefully tonight or tomorrow (Monday) early morning before 7:00 AM. We can, if course, also pay for you delivering it or he can come pick it up. This project is an existing video that we are shooting new interviews for and the entire project has been shot in 24p on the DVX100A so we need to match footage, hence the emergency need for a DVX100A or 100B.

Amazingly, I contacted a rental house in Philadelphia and they answered their phone late on a Sunday night. I think we are all handled on this emergency, thanks to anyone who responded.

Make sure if you are going with VideoSmith that you get a DVX-100 a or b. The last time I rented from them I got an original and was on my way to West Virginia before I noticed.

It sounds like you have this under control? Yes Videosmith is great I use them all the time.
There's also Calumet Photo, but I don't know if they have a DVX for rent? Than there's also a place called New York Camera located in Southampton Pa.

i'm based out of metro nyc but have clients in the philadelphia area.

i have also used videosmith and they have been very helpful.

if your are shooting exterior locations please dress warm.

it has been very cold and snowy here in the northeast. brrrr!
