DVX100A Edge Enhancement/Peaking

Does the Edge enhancement/peaking in the DVX100A's EVF and LCD really help with better focusing? To me, this would be one of the most important upgrades of the 100A over the 100. Does anyone have first hand experience with this? Thanks.

yes, it helps a lot, and of course, the edge enhancement/peaking is not recorded to tape.

I love the peaking feature of the 100a. There are so many shots that would be almost impossible to get had I not had this feature on the camera. Especially in situations whene you can't take time to get a steady focus, like moving objects. The peaking feature really makes things in focus pop like they should.

Yes it does, that's exactly what it's for, and yes it is the most important upgrade. However the effect is mild, it's not quite like using a CRT monitor with peaking cranked all the way up. But it's a nice addition... very nice.
