DVX100A Auto White Balance

Well, after you point it at a well exposed white card under the light source you are balancing for and fill the frame with it, press and hold the WB button on the front of the camera. The cam will tell you it's white balancing and once it is set a "WB Good!" or similar will come up on the screen (don't have my cam with me so I don't know the exact nomenclature. This only works when you have selected either "A" or "B" custom white balance on the toggle switch.

It will say "WB OK". If it is too dark, it will say "LOW LIGHT", in which case, you need more light, or it will say "NG OVER" which means it is too bright, and you need to iris down, add an ND filter, whatever to make it darker. If you use zebra strips, you will know before hand if it is too bright. Too dark should be quite obvious.
